SAN DIMAS — January 30 – Today, law enforcement veteran, Vice Chair of the San Dimas Public Safety Commission, and small business owner, Ryan Vienna, received the endorsement of the 3,200 members of the Los Angeles County Fire Fighters Association. Local 1014’s support follows that of the nearly 9,000 members of the Professional Peace Officers Association (PPOA) and that of the California Reserve Peace Officers Association.

The Los Angeles County Fire Fighters Local 1014 conducts a careful review of candidates running for office, and only choose to support the ones they believe will make the most profound impact on their community – especially when it comes to enhancing the public’s safety.

"Almost immediately after being appointed to the city's Public Safety Commission, Ryan worked with stakeholders from all over the community to help initiate a community emergency response team program for the city of San Dimas," said Josh Hibbard, Ph.D. who also serves on the Public Safety Commission.

"San Dimas is safer today because of his leadership. I am confident Ryan will continue to serve the people of San Dimas on the city Council," said Hibbard.

“As a law enforcement officer for the past 11 years, I have always been able to count on the men and women of LA County Fire when on the front lines.  I am humbled to have their support,” said Vienna.

“Our community desperately needs and deserves quality leadership on the council. The type of leadership that is able to bridge that gap between public safety professionals and community members to initiate life-saving programs.”

“The CERT program helped train over 60 households in San Dimas for natural disasters that are natural or man-made.”

Ryan Vienna is a Sergeant with the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department, a Public Safety Commissioner for the City of San Dimas, and a small business owner.
